The Everson Museum of Art has announced the appointment of six new board members, bringing a diverse range of expertise to the downtown Syracuse museum. The new trustees are Isaac Budmen of Budmen Industries, Louise Rosenfield, David J. Foor, Dirk Sonneborn, Gia Mahmoud, and Ed Cronk. Their appointments will enhance the museum's operations and mission. Budmen has a history of collaboration with the Everson, including the innovative Touching History: Exploring the Scarab Vase exhibition. Rosenfield, a renowned ceramic artist and collector, previously served as an honorary board member and donated ceramic works to the museum. Foor and Sonneborn have also supported the museum through exhibition and program-related giving, with Foor's expertise in the audio-visual industry and Sonneborn's leadership in the non-profit sector. Mahmoud, with her experience in the energy sector, and Cronk, as the board's treasurer, bring valuable financial and operational knowledge. Sonneborn's background in entrepreneurship and senior leadership positions at foundations further strengthen the board's capabilities. The board is led by Ryan McDermott as chair, Daniela Molta as vice chair, and Maggie Goss as secretary, ensuring effective governance and strategic direction for the museum.
